Incidence happen all the time everywhere. Incident also happened during our class. Roger smelled something was burning and said “Mr.Marshall, something is burning. I think it is computer that is burining.” After that we were all panicking because we saw one of computers burning with smoke. At the same time, Mr.Marshall told Sam to call IT office because of burning computer. A minute later, there was a spark from a computer. Students were panicking because of the smell and now, they were more panicked than a minute ago. We all went out and waited for IT engineer to come and Ms.Nadora, a computer teacher, said it is better to bring all our belongings from inside. So, we brought all our stuff without getting harm. This incident happened so quickly that we weren’t aware of this situation right away. This event made me how to react even when there is a emergent incident.

When I was working in the classroom using my own laptop, a classmate asked me whether I smell something or not. I tried and I smelled something is burning. I smelled one desktop at my left hand side and I thought that was the one burning. So I told the teacher that. The teacher then pointed out that the desktop at my right hand side is burning. I turned around and I saw smokes coming out of the mainframe of the desktop. We were all scared that the computer is going to explode so we all stepped back. At that moment, “boom!”, the computer really exploded! We all ran out of the classroom and wait for staff from IT office to help. I think this incident was caused by the overheating of the power supply. The temperature rose and the wires started to burn and finally the CPU exploded.
At 10:30 in the morning, on April 29, 2009, one of the computers in the computer lab (#1086) in ISM exploded. At that time, Writing Proficiency class was having a class. One of the students smelled that something was burning and the teacher called the technician. Before the technician came, the classroom was full of burning smell and the students went outside the classroom. There was no big explosion but the teacher and the students were worried. Then, the technician finally came and the class moved to another computer lab. To prevent further problems, the computers should be checked regularly and ensure that students are safe of using computers.
The incident that have just happened made me upset. I was sitting at the back of the computer that has just exploded, so I did not know what exactly happened. I heard Roger’s screaming and I looked back. There were nothing happening, however, five seconds after, the computer that is located the left side of the pillar. Most of the classmates went out of the room and I followed. I realized that my violin is very near to the computer. I was very upset that it made me to imagine if the computer explosion that comes next is bigger and my violin was also involved. I wanted to get my violin as fast as I can. Nevertheless, nothing happened after the explosion that I saw at first. This was very unexpected happening that I have never been through.

On today’s writing class, there was a really unexpected in incident happened. One of the mainframe of the school computer exploded while we were doing our works. The good thing is that no one got injured however, we were all being frightened. I guess Roger and I were the first two people to smell that something was burning. However, we didn’t expect the explosion though. I guess the cause of this incident is due to the overheating of the main computer and the heat of wasn’t able to be relieved to outside. I guess this little incident will be one of my most memorable, accidents during my school life.

During today’s Writing Proficiency class, a computer overheated and that caused a little bit of panic; fortunately, no one got hurt during this accident. The computer which was broken was the one that I previously used during the class. I had no idea why that would occur, however, there were some noticeable signs before it overheated. When I was working on a paragraph for the class, that computer just shut down suddenly before I could even save my work. At that time, despite the anger I had of losing my work, I didn’t think that it is any big deal at all, so I just switched to another computer and kept working on my paragraph. Soon after, the smell in the room became weird, and we discovered that the computer which I thought was shut down started burning. Everyone became quite panic at that time, everyone wanted to move as far away form that computer as possible. It was such an unrespectable incident, and I hope it will never happen again.
During writing proficiency class, one of the computers in computer lab exploded. Since we thought the computer will be really exploding we transferred to another computer lab in same floor. We were all nervous about the incident and shocked. But we are all happy we are safe and we will submit our essays next class.

Roger first realized the smell and predicted that something was burning. Thanks to his excellent sense of smelling, we were all able to evacuate (minor one) and came out with no injuries or what so ever. This could be said as another example of why technology can be a negative influence among human.
